Seeking Nominations for Homecoming 2013 Honorees

The TU Alumni Association is seeking nominations for Homecoming 2013 honorees including Distinguished Alumni, J. Paschal Twyman and Mr. or Mrs. Homecoming.

The Distinguished Alumni award is given to recognize outstanding achievement by an alumnus or alumna in a particular discipline, organization or cause. Distinguished Alumni honorees are a great credit to The University of Tulsa and all alumni share in the celebration of their collective achievements. The J. Paschal Twyman award was established by the TU Alumni Association after the late president’s death to honor any TU alumnus/a, student, faculty or staff member, or friend of the university for outstanding contributions to the university, “far and beyond the call of duty.” The honoree should possess some of the qualities Twyman admired, including leadership and commitment. The Mr. or Mrs. Homecoming award is designated for TU employees (faculty, staff or administrators) who demonstrate the following criteria:

• Consistently performs above job requirements.
•  Leads by example. Serves as a mentor and helper to others.
• Exhibits a strong sense of TU pride. Can be described as a supporter of all things TU – e.g. support of TU athletics, going above-and-beyond the call of duty to help students, or making financial contributions.  
• A commitment to providing quality service to all TU constituents.
