TU Fans Enjoyed a True Blue New Year in Memphis for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl

The TU Alumni Association and the Golden Hurricane Club thank fans for participating in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl weekend in Memphis, Tenn., December 29-31, 2012.

The weekend kicked off with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl parade and battle of the bands on Beale Street on Sunday afternoon.  On Sunday evening, over 2,000 alumni, students, family and friends enjoyed food, party favors, several live bands and dancing at the TU Beale Street Bowl Bash.

Before the game, fans gathered at the pre-game brunch and pep rally for a full barbeque meal.

Over 4,000 Tulsa alumni and friends packed the stands of the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, on Monday, December 31 to watch the Golden Hurricane defeat the Iowa State Cyclones 31 – 17 to win the 2012 AutoZone Liberty Bowl.  TU ended the season with an overall 11-3 record.
