Los Angeles Chapter

As the University of Tulsa continues to make a growing impact across the United States, I am happy to see a growing number of TU alumni migrate to Southern California. Now more than 500 Tulsa graduates call the Los Angeles area home.

I made the journey myself nearly a decade ago. I graduated from TU twice, first in 2003 with a BS in Economics and BA in Political Science and then two years later with a MA in English. I have lived in Chicago, New York and Atlanta before moving to Los Angeles after earning my MBA from Emory University in 2009. Since then, my career has progressed in the entertainment industry and family grown. Professionally, I serve as vice president of content strategy for Theorem Media, a growing production company developing television, film and graphic novel stories. My wife and I were happy to welcome our first child this past April and love showing our son all that this great area has to offer.

Though the Los Angeles Chapter is still young, we have had great leadership to help it grow since it was chartered in 2013. I am excited to take the reins at the chapter’s fourth president and build on the strong foundation that’s been started to bring a strong sense of TU pride to the west coast.

If you’re new to the area or just looking to get reengaged, I look forward to seeing you at a future event. Don’t hesitate to reach out to connect, offer suggestions and give feedback. Be sure your information is kept up to date in the TUAlumni.com online directory. And don’t forget to like our chapter’s page on Facebook to keep up with the latest information.
