Ft. Worth/Arlington Chapter

Dear Fort Worth-Arlington Alumni:

I would like to extend a very enthusiastic greeting to everyone. My name is Matt Wiley, and I am the new President of the Fort-Worth-Arlington Chapter of The University of Tulsa Alumni Association. I grew up in Carrollton, Texas, and attended TU from 2002 to 2006. I received bachelor’s degrees in both philosophy and religion, in addition to a minor in Spanish. I was also a member of the Men’s Soccer Team during all four years of my eligibility, including the 2004 team that made it to the Elite 8, matching the deepest run in team history. After my time at TU, I worked for two years before attending law school at the University of Texas, where I graduated in 2011. I have worked as a full-service financial advisor in downtown Fort Worth with AXA Advisors, LLC since graduating from law school.

Along with the rest of the Chapter Board, I am very excited about the future of the Fort Worth-Arlington Chapter. The Board met for the first time recently and we have begun to brainstorm a host of activities for the coming year. We think that there is a tremendous opportunity to increase the level of connection between local alumni on the west side of the Metroplex. While we will continue to have close ties to the Dallas Chapter, the time has arrived for us to cultivate a more distinct identity as a Chapter.

I encourage each of you to get involved and stay connected with fellow TU Alumni through these and many more events and volunteering opportunities that we will have throughout the year.

If you have ideas on how we might better serve our TU Alumni in and around Fort Worth, please e-mail me at matthew.wiley@axa-advisors.com. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming year. If you want to receive communications about chapter events, please make sure your contact information is updated in the TUAlumni.com online directory.
