What a pleasure to continue in a leadership role for TU as President of
the Fort Worth/Arlington Alumni Chapter. I previously served as
secretary of our energetic Board of
Directors in 2013-2014 led by our dynamic president, Matt Wiley.
Together we met our goal of earning the 2013-14 Charles S. Monroe
Outstanding Chapter Award.
While at TU I was involved in the many campus activities,
including serving as a Golden Hurricane Cheerleader, and graduated with a
Bachelor of Music Education degree – Vocal & Instrumental ('74).
After graduation I had a successful career in public school music
education and will retire from teaching at the end of this semester. I
now plan to serve the Fort Worth Alumni Chapter, continue to write,
participate in the arts community and help The University of Tulsa
recruit the best and brightest students to continue TU’s standard of
I'm proud to announce we have both new and returning
members on the Fort Worth/Arlington Alumni Board, including vice
president Tahereh Behbehani ('09), secretary Darrell Noe ('65),
treasurer Matt Wiley ('06), communications director Lori McPherson ('96)
and member-at-large Alveena George ('11). If you would like to serve on
a committee or need more information at any time you can contact me at
email@example.com or 817-296-4621.
Let’s work together to continue making the Fort
Worth/Arlington Chapter the best in the country. The
University of Tulsa not only provided wonderful memories during our
college days but continues to provide opportunities to develop
friendships and share fun times in exemplifying TU’s legacy.
Hope to see you soon!
