TU's commitment to academic excellence grows with full accreditation in Business, Law, Music and Teacher Education... first Doctorates granted... Korean War interrupts students' lives... buildings completed are Petroleum Science (later Business Administration Hall), Student Activities (later Westby Center), McClure Hall and Sharp Chapel, plus new North Campus for Petroleum Sciences and Engineering... TU's first Rhodes Scholar named... President's Club begins... TU goes to Gator Bowl... Mabee Speech and Hearing Clinic established... Ben G. Henneke becomes TU's 11th President (1958-1967).
