Come join us as we “Celebrate Our Heritage” during Homecoming 2010.
Tour the new and improved TU campus and get reacquainted with your alma mater. Construction continues and the campus is constantly changing, making a tour worthwhile, even if you have visited recently.
Hurricane Hospitality is always found at Homecoming Headquarters in Collins Hall. Additionally, TU memorabilia will be on display, rich reminders of college experiences. What else could possibly make this display better? Your TU memorabilia! Check your attics, basements and closets for any TU items you might have and bring them with you to Collins Hall when you come for Homecoming. TU’s Heritage committee will catalogue your donation for display at a later time.
Kick off your weekend on Friday with the annual pep rally and bonfire on The U. Enjoy this TU tradition as we honor Mr. Homecoming 2010, Don Tomkalski, and the 2010 Jess Chouteau Outstanding Seniors. The lighting of the bonfire followed by beautiful fireworks will highlight the evening. Then gather your friends for TU On Tap at McNellie’s Sidebar where you can catch up into the wee hours.
Saturday morning, the Class of 1960 will mark their 50 year reunion and be inducted into the Gold Medallion Society (formerly called the Fifty Years or More Club) during a delicious brunch.
Saturday evening will bring the big game and tons of fun with tailgating on Chapman Commons, complete with photo ops, inflatables for kids, food and music. At 6:00, the Golden Hurricane will take on Conference USA foe Tulane in beautiful H.A. Chapman Stadium!
