Distinguished Alumni Medallion

Each year since 1946, The University of Tulsa Alumni Association has presented accomplished alumni and friends with awards, including the Association’s highest honor — the Distinguished Alumni Award. 

Other awards are presented to alumni, future alumni, chapters volunteers and friends for their accomplishments and service to The University of Tulsa. 

The specific awards that are presented are detailed in these pages, and include a description of each award, the selection criteria and a nomination form.  Visit the pages to the left to learn more about each of the awards and how to nominate a deserving individual.

Student Award Applications

​Applications are open for 2024-25 Homecoming Student Awards and are due on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, by 4:00 p.m. CST. 

2024-25 Jess Chouteau Outstanding Seniors: The Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior Award recognizes TU seniors with exceptional academic and service achievements. The Jess Chouteau Outstanding Senior Award is bestowed upon no more than ten seniors each year. TU students graduating in December 2024, May 2025, or Summer 2025 are invited to apply. Only those applications submitted via the application at TUAlumni.com will be reviewed by a panel of alumni judges. The preliminary review will result in a total of 20 finalists to be interviewed by an alumni panel on Sunday, October 6. 2024 Top Ten Freshmen: The Top 10 Freshmen Award recognizes TU sophomores who demonstrated exceptional academic and service achievements during their freshmen year at TU. The Top 10 Freshmen Award is bestowed upon no more than ten sophomores. Only those applications submitted via the application at TUAlumni.com will be reviewed by a panel of alumni judges. The preliminary review will result in a total of 20 finalists to be interviewed by an alumni panel on Sunday, October 6. 2024 Homecoming Court: Each campus organization is invited to nominate up to one candidate for Homecoming King and one candidate for Homecoming Queen. Students may only accept a nomination from one organization. Once the candidates are nominated, they may complete the application, and the top 20 candidates will be interviewed by an alumni panel on Sunday, October 6, for selection to Homecoming Court, followed by a vote of the student body organized by the Student Government Association.
