The Chapter of the Year Award was established in 2006 by The University of Tulsa Alumni Association Board of Directors. It is given annually to an officially chartered alumni chapter outside of Tulsa that develops programs and participates in events that bolster and advance The University of Tulsa. In 2008 the award was named for Charles S. Monroe ('78, '80), the first president of the Alumni Board of Directors. The chapter that wins the award receives a monetary gift, a trophy and will receive recognition at Homecoming. It is awarded to the chapter who has gone above and beyond to support and advance the TU mission through its alumni network.
