Jacqueline Boggs is a psychology and organizational studies major in the Kendall College of Arts and Sciences. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Order of Omega, Lantern Honor Society, Psi Chi Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Mortar Board, Panhellenic Executive Council and the TACL psychology research lab. Boggs is listed on the President’s Honor and Dean’s Honor Roll and has received the TU Vision Scholarship, TU Dean’s Scholarship and Tulsa Committee of 100 Scholarship. Boggs has also been a recipient of awards such as the Tulsa Area Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship, Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award, and the Psychology department “Fabulous Five” Award. She has volunteered at the Broken Arrow Police Department, Parent Child Center of Tulsa and Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Boggs plans to pursue a doctorate in industrial/organizational psychology and focus on team dynamics and training. Claire Collard is a speech-language pathology major in the Oxley College of Health Sciences. She is a member of the Golden Hurricane Spirit Squad, Kappa Alpha Theta, TU Student Speech Language and Hearing Association and Student Athlete Advisory Council. She has received the Wilson Holloway Service Award and was named a TU Top 10 Freshman and Buddy of the Year for Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa. Collard has earned a University Academic Scholarship and TU Pom Scholarship. She has volunteered for Speech and Beyond Pediatric Therapy, Green Country Shining Stars, Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa, Special Olympics of Oklahoma, Miss Amazing Oklahoma, Camp Hope’s Crossing and True Blue Neighbors. She studied abroad in Cuba through the Education Foundation. Collard plans to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology at TU. Madisen Fae Dorand is a pre-med psychology major in the Kendall College of Arts and Sciences while pursuing minors in biology and women and gender studies. She is a member of the Student Alliance for Violence Education, Psychology Lab, Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity, Future Alumni Council, University Ambassadors, Psi Chi Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi and Order of Omega. She is president of Mortar Board and the Student Alliance for Violence Education. Dorand has received the TU Vision Scholarship, Jesse Flack Scholarship for Academic Excellence and the Leslie Rogers Panhellenic Scholarship. She also is listed on the Presidential Honor Roll. Dorand has volunteered at St. John’s Medical Center, Global Gardens and Make-A-Wish of Oklahoma. She plans to attend medical school and specialize in community medicine. Shelby Hackney is an accounting and computer information systems major in the Collins College of Business. She is a member of Information Technologists United, University Ambassadors, Mortar Board, Beta Gamma Sigma, Order of Omega, Future Alumni Council, Kappa Alpha Theta, Student Health Advocates Association, and Beta Alpha Psi. Hackney is a Presidential Scholar, Phillips 66 SHIELD Scholar and was named a TU Top 10 Freshman. She is listed on the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Honor Roll. Hackney has interned with Stinnett & Associates and Phillips 66 and spent a semester studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in accounting and become a licensed CPA.
Emma Hug is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and is minoring in business administration. She is the President of Tri Delta sorority and has held leadership positions in University Ambassadors, and Order of Omega, and is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Blue Thumb Conservation Club and Society of Women Engineers. Hug has received the TU Vision Scholarship and Dean’s Scholarship and has been listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Hug has interned at NORDAM as a Manufacturing Engineer as well as a Configuration Analyst at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. She also has volunteered for St. Jude and Reading Partners at Kendall Whittier. Hug plans to obtain a full-time engineering position and obtain her Professional Engineering License. Tejaswi Makkapati is a pre-med student majoring in chemistry in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and is minoring in history, psychology and biology. She is a member of University Ambassadors, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Alpha Phi Omega, the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates, Honors Student Association, Tennis Club, Residence Hall Association, STEM^2, Phi Eta Sigma, Iota Sigma Pi, Psi Chi Honors Society and Beta Beta Beta. Makkapati has received an International Baccalaureate Scholarship, TU Academic Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship, Philanthropic Educational Organization Star Scholarship, Society of American Military Engineers J.D. Metcalfe Scholarship and a TU student research grant. She has participated in the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge and the Chemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Program and presented at the American Chemical Society National Conference. Makkapati is listed on the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s Honor Roll and was named a TU Top 10 Freshman. She is an undergraduate researcher at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research and an organic chemistry teaching assistant. Makkapati is a tutor for high school and college students and has volunteered for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Red Cross, Oklahoma Blood Institute, Iron Gate soup kitchen, Kendall-Whittier Elementary School, Oklahoma Conservation Commission and the Tulsa Zoo. She plans to attend medical school and specialize in surgery. Luke Monsees is majoring in finance in the Collins College of Business and is a member of the Student Association, Phi Mu Alpha, University Ambassadors, Hardesty Hall Government and Beta Gamma Sigma. He is a Presidential Scholar and Orientation Leader, tutors student athletes, and has received the Hall Family Scholarship and the Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship. Monsees was named a TU Top 10 Freshman and has volunteered for Relay for Life. He is fluent in Spanish and has studied abroad in Valencia, Spain. Monsees plans to continue his education at TU and pursue a Masters of Business Administration. Camden Schinnerer is a pre-med student majoring in biochemistry in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and Spanish in the Kendall College of Arts and Sciences. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Global Scholars, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society, Lantern Honor Society, the TU Honors program, Phi Eta Sigma, Mortar Board and Order of Omega. Schinnerer serves as an Orientation Leader and has received the Mervin Bovaird Foundation Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship and TU Vision Scholarship. He has participated in the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge and the Chemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Program and presented at the American Chemical Society National Conference. He has been listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll and attended Oklahoma EPSCoR Research Day at the Capitol and as well as the TU Research Colloquium. Schinnerer has volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Reading Partners, the Dennis R. Neil Equality Center and at the Salvation Army as a Spanish translator. He has worked at Noble Resources Inc. and St. John Medical Center and also volunteered at Living Kitchen Farm-to-Table restaurant. Schinnerer plans to advance his Spanish fluency by moving to Ecuador to teach English on a Fulbright Scholarship for one year before returning to Oklahoma to attend medical school. Brett Stewart is a chemical engineering major in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences who is also earning a minor in mathematics. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, University Ambassadors, Reformed University Fellowship, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Kappa Alpha Order, and Future Alumni Council. He also serves as a TU Orientation Leader and is a member of Omega Chi Epsilon chemical engineering society, Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, Mortar Board, Phi Eta Sigma, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Stewart was named a TU Top 10 Freshman and has been named to the President's Honor Roll. Stewart has received the Mervin Bovaird Foundation Scholarship, the TU Vision Scholarship, Dean's Scholarship, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Scholarship, and the OERB Petroleum Scholarship. He has interned at Honeywell UOP Russell, Brainerd Chemical Co., Occidental Petroleum Corp., and Hilcorp Energy Co. Stewart has participated in several service activities through First Baptist Church of Owasso. He has also volunteered at Night Light Tulsa, TU Service Day, Kendall-Whittier Elementary, and Camp Loughridge. Stewart plans to obtain his professional engineer license and has accepted a full-time engineering position. Matthew Wells is a mechanical engineering major with a minor in computer science in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences. He helped establish the Tulsa Club Golf Team and is a member of Order of Omega, Pi Kappa Alpha, St. Phillip Neri Newman Center, University Ambassadors, Tau Beta Pi, Phi Eta Sigma, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Make a Difference Engineering at TU. Wells is an undergraduate research assistant/test engineer within the Department of Mechanical Engineering as well as a teaching assistant for Dr. Clancy’s Presidential Leaders Fellowship class. He is a TU Presidential Scholar and member of the President’s Honor Roll. He has interned as a research fellow at the Center for Space Nuclear Research and volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Crosstown Education Center. Wells plans to obtain his professional engineer license and work in industry before returning to school to receive a Masters in Business Administration.
